Recycling, eco-design and Industry 4.0 technologies for the recovery of high-value metals from end-of-life electric vehicles.
The overall objective of the RELOAD project is to contribute efficiently and safely to the supply of high-value metals in the industrial value chain of the Electric and Connected Vehicle (VEC), reducing dependence on imports and promoting a sustainable, circular industrial model with a lower environmental footprint.
RELOAD is part of the Future: Fast Forward (F3) driving project, within the Electric and Connected Vehicle PERTE (VEC), and is led by the company ENSO. Together with Balidea,
the consortium also includes the companies SEAT, S.A., Técnicas Reunidas and Asai Industrial, and the research organisations Centro Tecnológico de Investigación Multisectorial (CETIM);
the University of Zaragoza and the National Centre for Metallurgical Research (CENIM) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).
This project has been funded by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, thanks to the NextGenerationEU programme, the COVID-19 economic recovery package for EU Member States.
